One of the UAE’s most respected charities, The Rashid Centre for People of Determination supports young people born with physical, learning, or sensory challenges through the provision of education and therapies designed to increase their independence and help them forge their own paths in life.
Established in 1994, the Centre’s programmes have been developed in accordance with ongoing international research and best practice developed in partnership with universities and other education providers, which have all contributed to make the Rashid Centre what it is today.
The First Group is a long-term supporter of the Centre’s mission, helping raise funds for the organisation through various charitable initiatives, including the TFG 7 Emirates Cycle Challenge
This financial support enables four students to attend the Centre’s secondary school, which provides the teens with vocational training in a practical learning environment.
